Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)

Hocus Pocus 2 3.3/10 This movie is one of the worst pieces of cinema ever recorded. The plot and worldbuilding disrespect the first one introduced; the dialogue is something dishonest and wants to be quirky and modern, with outdated iCarly dialogue with sprinkles of Marvel jokes; the photography is boring and lacks any effort, wasting the dancers' performances; VFX are used too much, and the characters and lighting are simply off, looking cheap and generic; the direction is awful as well, with sudden cuts, no sense of logic, or pacing. The only redeeming part of the film was the performance of the Sanderson Sisters and the Prologue at the beginning. Directed by: Anne Fletcher

Sin City: A dame to kill for (2014)

Sin City: A dame to kill for 8.4/10 The sequel is just an extended look at the story, as good as the first part. 3D Version This 3D is sort of flat with faces, but with action and smoke it is marvellous, a clear, deliberate artistic choice. Directed by: Robert Rodriguez , Frank Miller

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Mad Max: Fury Road 8.5/10 This remake/sequel/reboot is an evolution of the post-apocalyptic neo-western Mad Max. The action is pumped to 11 but sadly the unfolding and drama took a side seat nevertheless the core, theme, and atmosphere of the saga still is in there but with a new flavor. Directed by: George Miller

Scooby-Doo! and the Reluctant Werewolf (1988)

Scooby-Doo! and the Reluctant Werewolf 5.1/10 This is one of the most boring, worst-paced, and poorly animated movies I have seen. This is a waste of resources from the studio and a waste of time for audiences. The only redeeming part was parts of the actual race and the monsters car designs. Directed by: Jim Ryan

La Dictadura Perfecta (2014)

La Dictadura Perfecta 6.7/10 A Movie that I do not get. Infierno I do get: a Neo-Western with a lot of irony and black comedy. This tries to be a drama, a parody, but compared to what came before from Estrada, where there was an unfolding strong plot with a potent social commentary, this movie is a spread-out social commentary with a story attached to it. The movie is not subtle; the irony becomes a cheap parody at times; the characters are flat (either by design or not) and exposition is bad. This film felt like a studio intervention, which I cannot confirm. Directed by: Luis Estrada

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)

Alita: Battle Angel 8.4/10 Alita is one of the most interesting and creative movies I've ever seen; it's amazing, though it has clichés here and there, and as an action film, it excels in sound design, visuals, and choreography. 3D Version This is the only version to experience the film, one of the best uses of 3D that fits the plot, action, themes, and storytelling Directed by: Robert Rodriguez

Forrest Gump (1994)

Forrest Gump 9.8/10 How cannot love this touching film, it’s just gorgeous, despite being originally a novel, this story was meant to be a film, the visual effects takes you in a universe where actually this charming Hank was really there, and the soundtrack, it just fits perfectly Directed by: Robert Zemeckis

Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (1922)

Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror 9.4/10 The most accurate adaption of Dracula which is ironic that the name is Nosferatu and not Dracula Directed by: F. W. Murnau

Melancholia (2011)

Melancholia 6.8/10 This film is unbearable, and my burden is whether it is by design or not. This movie has me put through some white, wealthy people shenanigans and trying to empathize with a self-absorbed, spineless, inconsiderate, stupid woman; I feel no sympathy nor sorrow for that absolute garbage of a woman. This film, like Another Round (2020), just proves that white European people can’t look beyond their noses, thinking the universe orbits around their puny first-world problems. The second part is absurdly distinct, and it shows it is a very good part; the first part could have been condensed into 15 minutes, leaving more time for the second part and the dread of imminent death. This film is wrought witha parasite called part I Directed by: Lars Von Trier

Memoir of a Snail (2024)

Memoir of a Snail 8.8/10 BA beautiful, touching, but harsh film that has a sweet charm and is not afraid of anything, an underrated gem. Directed by: Adam Elliot
