The Northman (2022)

The Northman 7.4/10 The film was a Shakespearean story with sprinkles and later mouthfuls of Nordic pagan folklore, although the film surprised me a lot, it felt short on impact, and had some weird editing choices that did not fit the whole mood. Directed by: Robert Eggers

The Wild Robot 7.7/10 A story that, despite being infantile, really does a disservice to animals, it comes as a fantasy emotional piece of animation with great cinematography and a witty comedy for both children and adults. Directed by: Chris Sanders

The Breakfast Club (1985)

The Breakfast Club 7.3/10 This films gets half things right and half not, the characters are dort of deep but the way they end up puts all the effort of the actors and themes treated to trash, the cliche happy ending is just plain and makes the love relationship revelation a matter of minutes like an old Disney film. Directed by: John Hughes

American Psycho (2000)

American Psycho 8.6/10 This psychological cinematic story is a weird but splendid film that puts you in the eyes of a obsessed Businessman. Directed by: Marry Harron

Buddha: The Great Departure (2011)

Buddha: The Great Departure 手塚治虫のブッダ赤い砂漠よ！美しく 8.5/10 The film adapts the manga interpretation of the late legend and father of manga & anime, Osamu Tezuka, Watching this animated featured film was amazing but also frustrating, it seemed like budget and time were a big limiter here, the pacing was excellent, the plot and characters warm and real that actually made the visuals and soundtrack pale in compression, the film should have had more budget thus more animators, more time for all the staff to deliver a film that would have been critically acclaimed nevertheless, the film was outstanding and had talent and I cannot help but blame the marketing to not have made the film more popular, it is a truly a hidden gem. Directed by: Kōzō Morishita

The Croods (2013)

The Croods 7.4/10 A Film that, despite following a semi-predictable path, deviates and creates amazing chemistry with the characters and fun moments. 3D Version The Croods, while not being totally fixated with 3D, chose a safe 3D; the movie was indeed intended to be seen in stereoscopic 3D. Directed by: Chris Sanders

Nosferatu (2024)

Nosferatu 7.7/10 The remake no one expected. This film is intriguing and full of mystery and cruel overall, it shows a cruel world where pleasure is evil's weapon, and where karma is non-existent. This film lacked some realism that would've elevated the project more. From The Lighthouse (2019) and The Witch (2015), Eggers built a true-to-life representation of language that elevated authenticity and immersion, making you feel like something like that really happened, blending realism with dark folklore. But with this movie, that was lost. Directed by: Robert Eggers

Napoleon Dynamite (2004)

Napoleon Dynamite 8.4/10 This is what an autistic film is, I do not want to be offensive and that statement was borrowed from actual people from the spectrum and made notice the way it is angled, the character's dialogue, and the almost unreal feeling of it but at the same time feeling so relatable. Directed by: Jared Hess

Peter Pan: Return to Neverland (2002)

Peter Pan: Return to Neverland 8.6/10 This sequel is dark at the begging and it has its individuality, it is not the first installment and some flaws are not to be ignored but this is a good experienced. Directed by: Robin Budd

Lilo & Stitch (2002)

Lilo & Stitch 8.9/10 A film that talks about identity, family, and friendship, and is helped by a bunch of colorful, distinguished characters and a unique comedy. Directed by: Chris Sanders & Dean DeBlois
