The movie is an amazing journey of womanship that transcends time and even genre.
Photography is so fitting and so achieved to its intent; it is uncanny and gorgeous. Characters are deep and believable on screen from both acting and characterization with makeup and clothing; the time skips are hard to spot, though; no actor on screen looks any older; skincare must've been a hit in Massachusetts in the 1860's.
