A weirdly paced pirate story that has charm but lacks tension.
The animation is, of course, amazing, the humor is Aardman, and the designs are still Aardman. The film is good, with interesting characters and environments, with such a level of detail that it amazed me.
3D Version
This version is the auteur's intent. that being said, the 3D works fine and blens perfectly with the medium (Stop-Motion) and allows audiences to see the intricate scenarios and the crafmenship of all the sets, it really is an experience meant to be watched in stereoscopic 3D
