This neo-noir film is my kind of film, with a bold and proud use of the medium, a great story-telling technique, and an outstanding well-written protagonist.
The story tells you how there might not be a bad guy but a broken system where the system requires dreaded actions for the sake of the result that being a successful individual, profit, political advantage, etc.
If I could define this movie in a phrase it would be this: 'The end justifies the means'.
